Build a shareable pack
Build a Niqat customization pack with its versioned envelope, content digest, compatibility checks, and review before activation. Download a real theme example.
A portable pack carries a versioned configuration that another business can inspect and import. It must not carry private tenant data, credentials, or authority to activate itself.
Start with a real theme
Download the Niqat default theme. This is the actual theme artifact bundled with the merchant application, not a proposed app manifest.
The theme’s content includes:
{
"colors": { "seed": "#00C8B3" },
"typography": { "font_family": "Inter", "scale_percent": 100 },
"density": { "mode": "standard" },
"spacing": { "scale_percent": 100 },
"corners": { "scale_percent": 100 },
"elevation": { "scale_percent": 100 },
"motion": { "enabled": true, "duration_scale_percent": 100 }
}
This is the content field only. An importable artifact also needs its complete envelope.
Preserve the envelope
The envelope identifies kind, artifact_schema_version, artifact_id, name, revision, compatibility, publisher, dependencies, capabilities, content_digest, created_at, and content.
Use a new UUIDv7 artifact identity for your own pack and increment revisions deliberately. The digest is SHA-256 over canonical content. Editing content without updating the digest must fail validation. Publisher metadata is a claim that needs appropriate provenance; it does not authenticate itself.
Validate before activating
Keep syntax, schema, compatibility, provenance, and domain validation separate from activation. Unknown fields and unsupported values should produce useful errors. JSON is the canonical persisted representation; only the supported YAML subset is an authoring alternative.
Import does not grant activation rights. The destination business reviews and authorizes its own revision.
Build for another shop
Keep the pack tenant-neutral. Document its assumptions and dependencies. The upcoming Niqat Store will provide a discovery and distribution surface for useful customization.
